Please honor National Suicide Prevention Month by checking on your firearm storage practices during Gun Storage Check Week, September 1–7.

Most firearm-related fatalities are suicide deaths. Firearm owners and family members can help save lives by making sure that a person in crisis cannot access a gun or other means of self-harm.

If you are in crisis or you’re concerned about someone you know, call the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Veterans, call 988 and press 1 for the Veterans Crisis Line.
